Milton Keynes tutoring business considers Bedfordshire expansion
A Milton Keynes tutoring business is exploring expansion into Bedfordshire as part of plans to make its small-group tuition model available to more families.
Louisa Tutors currently provides tuition designed to support children academically while also helping them grow in confidence.
Founder Louisa is now looking at how the business could expand into neighbouring areas, including Bedfordshire, while keeping the local and personal approach that has been central to the business so far.
Rather than opening large centrally managed branches, the aim is for future locations to be run by people who already understand their local communities and have experience working with children.
Louisa said:
One of the things that matters most to me is keeping that community feel as the business grows.
“Families want to feel that the person supporting their child understands them, their area and the challenges children can face with confidence and learning.
“Bedfordshire is a natural area for us to consider because it is close to where Louisa Tutors began, while still allowing each area to develop its own local relationships.
The business places particular emphasis on small-group tuition, with sessions intended to give children the opportunity to ask questions, take part and build confidence alongside improving their academic skills.
Louisa believes there is also an opportunity for experienced teachers, tutors, teaching assistants and others who have worked with children to play a greater role in providing education support within their own communities.
She added:
There are lots of talented people working in education who know their communities incredibly well. I think locally led tuition can be really valuable because it allows relationships with families to grow naturally.
“For me, expansion isn’t about opening as many locations as possible. It’s about finding the right people and making sure the same supportive approach is carried into each new area.
Louisa Tutors is currently exploring potential areas for future growth, with Bedfordshire among the locations being considered.
